Teams have until October 17, one day ahead of the 2022-23 regular season, to issue extensions to the rookie-scale class of 2019. The top 30 picks can extend or wait until restricted free agency next July.

Several top stars like Zion Williamson, Ja Morant and Darius Garland have already extended. Others didn’t get through their initial contract and aren’t eligible.

The exact figure for a “max” extension won’t be determined until the salary cap is announced for 2023-24. A designated extension adds five years, while a standard extension adds four. Technically, the NBA considers a five-year extension as six (and four as five). For brevity, just the additional years are listed for the 30 players from 2019 with their fates:
