SBC Audio Experience: Max Miller (Episode 70)

In this episode of the Sports Business Classroom Audio Experience, we had the pleasure of speaking with Dazmine “Dazz” Simpson, Client Relations Manager at Young Money APAA Sports. In 2018 Dazz attended Limestone University and graduated with a BA in Sports Management. He then went on to work at a management company where he connected with his first client, Bryce McGowens, who is now a guard for the Charlotte Hornets. Dazz has since landed a role in his dream job at Young Money APAA Sports, where he works with professional athletes.

In this episode, Dazz and Marlena discuss:

  • The people who have guided Dazz throughout his career
  • The importance of taking risks to achieve your highest goals
  • Pushing the boundaries in his industry

Dazz shares his journey from growing up in a sports town in Spartanburg, South Carolina to landing his dream job at a global sports agency founded by hip-hop music artist Lil Wayne. Between negotiating contracts to managing the personal and professional lives of athletes, Dazz provides an inside look at what it’s like representing athletes on a daily basis.

Overall, this episode gives listeners a fascinating insight into the world of sports management and the ways in which young professionals like Daz can work their way up to achieve their dream jobs.
