In today’s episode of the Sports Business Classroom Audio Experience, we sat down with the voice of the New Orleans Pelicans, Joel Meyers. With over 25 years of broadcast experience, Meyers joined the New Orleans Pelicans after spending six seasons with Los Angeles Lakers as their TV play-by-play announcer (2005-11) and two seasons as the team’s radio play-by-play announcer (2003-2005). Joel earned two Emmy awards during his time as the Lakers’ TV play-by-play announcer and served four years working as the voice of the San Antonio Spurs’ television broadcast before heading to Los Angeles.
