ON THIS DATE IN SBC – JULY 12, 2019

On this day in SBC, July 12, 2019, deep dives into the CBA and Scouting, Video, and Analytics continued. For the SVA students, they had an opportunity to work directly with video coordinators from around the league to break down the programs they use and ways they analyze film with players.

Jeff Fellenzer led a roundtable with students on the subject of networking, resume writing and interviewing. Jeff has had more than three decades of experience in sports management, news media, higher education and as an entrepreneur.

Along with his advice, he brought in the Director of Communications for the LA Clippers Dennis Rogers, the Chief International Relations and Marketing of the NBPA Matteo Zuretti, and the Director of Athlete & Community Relations for Overtime Shea Dawson. This panel offered advice and shared what traits they are looking for in a young student’s networking process.

Later in the afternoon students had an opportunity to watch live Summer League games with their classmates and other guests such as: Wes Wilcox, Morgann Mitchell, Simon Cherin-Gordon and Beau Estes.
